What We Believe

What We Believe

About the Bible

We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God.  As the Holy Spirit moved upon the hearts of men they wrote the very words of Scipture.  Therefore, the bible is trustworthy, authoritative, and without error.

2 Timothy 3:16  2 Peter 1:21

About God

We believe in one God and creator, infinitely and eternally existent and unified in three distinct persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (the trinity).  We belive that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became flesh and bore the full payment for sin upon the cross.  For all who receive Christ as Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit then indwells them, teaching, equipping, and empowering them for a victorious life.

Deuteronomy 6:4  John 1:1  14 Romans 8:9-11

About Mankind

We believe that man has been created in the image of God and therefore every human life has intrinsic value.  However, sin had entered the world and it has corrputed each and every person to the very core of their being.  Our very nature is stained.  Therefore, without receiving the person and work of Jesus Christ we are incapable of restoring our broken relationship with God.

Genesis 1:27  Romans 5:12  John 14:6

About Salvation

We believe that salvation is the free gift of God through Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross.  His shed blood is the only satisfactory payment for our sins.  Salvation is received as we place our faith completely in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:8  Romans 10:9-10

About Life in Christ

We believe that every Christian is called to live for Christ and not for himself.  For the believer, Jesus is Lord over every area of their life.  Through the filling of the Holy Spirit and obedience to the Word of God the believer is being transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 6:19  Colossians 1:27  2 Corinthians 3:18  Galatians 2:20

About the Church

The Church is the Body and Bride of Christ.  He is the head and we are the members who have trusted Him by faith in His completed work on the cross.  He is building His church and all who are a part of her are called to glorify God by loving Him and making Him known to a lost world.

Ephesians 5:23 Matthew 16:18 Mark 12:30  Matthew 28:18-20
