The Deacons provide church oversight by meeting the needs of the body at North Woodbury Alliance Church. They are responsible to serve and care for God’s flock by meeting practical needs as laid out for us in Acts 6:1-6, James 1:27, 2:14-17, and 1 Timothy3:8-13.
The NWAC Deacon Team exists to care for and serve the church body, specifically through the second focal point of our mission statement: Live to Serve. The NWAC Deacon Team is committed to caring for the physical and temporal needs of those in the church body, especially the widows, orphans, and “least of these.”
Practically, this can play out through praying, visiting the sick, checking in on our widows, scheduling and providing meals for new moms or those recovering from medical procedures, as well as for funerals. If you are in need of this kind of care, please reach out to the deacon team here.
